Admissions Requirements

Graduates from six or seven semester long bachelor programs in the following fields can apply for the Masters program Automation & IT:

• Electrical Engineering
• Engineering Science
• Related disciplines

A degree Dipl.-Ing. (FH) is sufficient for application to the Automation & IT program as well.

In addition, a minimum grade point average has to be met. The limit is 2.5 in a grade system from 1 to 5.

Please, be aware that these are only necessary but not sufficient conditions. We have many applications for a limited number of places. Therefore, not all applicants can get a place in our program. We suggest that you should send application documents to other universities, too.

The master program requires a minimum TOEFL score for admission:

• 550 for the Paper-Based Test (PBT),
• 213 for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), and
• 80 for the Internet-Based Test (IBT).

Alternative tests, such as IELTS and TOEIC, are considered equivalent. The required IELTS overall band score is 6.0. The VEC certificate may be accepted by the university but is not part of the uni-assist reference framework.
